Ciarán Hourican is a professional Workplace Coach and Mentor with a passionate interest in developing others and a track record for realising excellence. He has worked extensively across both the private and public sectors and more recently in the area of tech.
With a background in politics and leadership psychology Ciarán brings a very dynamic energy to leadership and coaching.
By facilitating engagement through his ongoing fascination with political, business and social icons, Ciaran’s development approach is client focused and he is an advocate for people while also facilitating them to accept more responsibility for the challenges they face.
In his capacity as Managing Partner of H-Training Ciarán has assumed strategic responsibility for growing and developing the business. He is currently studying Software Development as part of H-Training's strategic shift towards online delivery and content development.
Ciaran holds a BA in English and Politics and a Masters in Political Leadership from University College Cork he was awarded Best Dissertation and Politics MA Student of the Year. He is also a qualified Coach and Mentor from the Institute of Leadership and Management.
Helen Hourican founded H-TRAINING in 1989. Since then, Helen and her team provide a range of HR and Learning & Development solutions to private and public sector organisations on a local and national basis.
Helen has worked with civil & public sector organisations as well as multi-nationals and SMEs’ throughout the country, providing organisational, leadership & management development solutions as well as Ilm certification to masters level.
Helen has been involved in the development of change architecture with the objective of defining an integrated change journey for an organisation. This is then supported by an organisational design that determines effective outcomes for the business.
Helen has significant experience in the development of culture and behavioural change in organisations, mentoring them to determine the desired culture and then embed it in the organisation. To support these cultural and behavioural changes Helen uses the full range of DiSC® and Everything DiSC® reports. These reports provide a common language for personnel at all levels to better understand themselves and to adapt their behaviours in working with others.
Helen is an Executive Coach and Mentor and has many years’ experience in Leadership coaching at senior level. Much of her work involves providing leaders with the skills to drive change at all levels of an organisation.
Helen has two qualifications at Masters Level: MSc in HR (Training and Performance Management) from University of Leicester (2004) and a Masters level Diploma in Leadership Mentoring & Executive Coaching from the Institute of Leadership & Management (ILM) (2007).
Helen commenced her career in Accountancy and then moved in to Marketing roles before founding H-TRAINING in 1989.
